Polyester plate Lithography

Polyester plate printing technique that is a lithographic technique. In contrast to the traditional stone lithography process is very easy to work with photographic images. This is because a laser printer can be used to print directly onto the plate. In contrast to the conventional lithography technique, the process is not necessary based on the repelling of water and fat. The pores of the plate may or may not be empty or filled with a drawing material. The empty pores are filled with water during printing and therefore repel the ink. The filled pores stay dry so that there is adhesion with the ink is possible. The plate is therefore not to be etched for the printing.

Polymetaal supplies polyester plates (sheets) in several sizes.

A mixture of water and other chemicals distributed by the dampening system on a printing press used in offset lithography. Lithographic printing operates on the principle that oil and water do not mix to any great extent; offset presses first treat metal printing plates with a fountain solution, which works to desensitize the non-image areas, rendering them ink-repellent. The fountain solution is applied to the plate through a series of rollers in a variety of configurations.
In Hand-lithography it works the same way.
