The Z*Acryl Vertical Etching Tank (developed by Mark Zaffron) is an ideal alternative for the horizontal trays. Compared to traditional trays it takes 80% less space in the studio. She surface exposed to air is much less, hence less evaporation.

The vertical tank is made of 6mm thick polyethelene and has the following features;

• A cover fitting accurately over the tank to avoid evaporation.
• A large capacity, allowing two plates to be etched at once (45x60cm. 18x24") or several smaller plates.
• This design does not only save space but is also designed for the use of a safe and precise etchant; ferric chloride.
• A separate support (50cm (20") high, 23cm (10") wide and 30 cm (12") high) makes the tank very stable.
• All usual etchants can be used in this tank.
• Content 15 litres.
• The tank comes with a plastic "flange" which allows an easy built in, into a work surface.
