Carborundum ( silicium carbide )

Silicium carbide is one of the hardest abrasives, after diamond. It is just a bit harder than
Korund (aluminium oxide). In Lithography it is used to grind the stone, with another stone or
with a levigator. Apart from that it is used in etching as well for carborundum printing
