Dimensions plastic bottle

¢ 7,5cm x 23 cm, (3"x9")

Content

24 fl. oz. (682 ml)

Weight

760 gram (1.4 lbs)

This is an acrylic-based etching ground, developed by Z*Acryl (Mark Zaffron). A dark colour has been added to enhance visibility on the plate. It is thinner than the Lascaux 2060 and 2090: it has about the same viscosity as the Johnson Klaer Polish. It can also be applied to the plate in the same way.
Be sure that the plate is properly degreased!!
Hold the plate horizontally above a tray. Poor the Z*Acryl onto the middle of the plate, and be sure to cover the entire surface. Hold the plate diagonally (over the tray) to allow the excess to run off. Let the layer harden.
This ground is suitable for line etchings. Etching can be done in nitric acid (copper zinc), iron chloride (copper zinc).

Johnson Klar Polish, liquid hard ground
Add to basketContent of basketAdd to favourites

Content 500 ml. (18 liq.oz.)
This is the European version of "Future" floor polish. A transparent, acrylic floor polish, it is very well suited as a hard ground. It is thinner than Lascaux 2060 and Lascaux 2090 (Hard Resist): this allows a ery thin layer to be applied to the plate. It can be applied to the plate with a brush but pouring is easier.
Note: BE SURE THAT THE PLATE IS COMPLETELY DEGREASED!
Hold the plate above a tray. Pour the polish onto the middle of the plate, making sure to cover the entire surface. Then tip the plate (over the tray) vertically to let the excess poish run off. Then harden the layer.
If preferred the ground can be blackened with gouache or acrylic. This ground is NOT suited for being etched in coppersulphate solution (Bordeaux-etch): the layer is so thin that it can partially dissolve in the solution. Instead, use Lascaux 2060 or 2090.

Speedball Screenfiller 8 fl. oz (230 ml)

Contents 230 ml. (8 fl. oz.)
A red liquid normally used in screenprinting to full up the "non-printing-parts" in the screen. Keith Howard uses it in many "non-toxic" intaglio techniques. Some examples:

 • "(stencil)-intaglio-type"; where screenfiller is used on the plate, a lighter tone will result.
 • "(mezzo)-intaglio-type"; same.
 • "acrylic aquatint"; Is possible, but Badger acrylic Aquatint Solution is better.
 • "liquid aquatint"; The screenfiller is mixed with carborundum and painted onto the plate.
 • "destructive ground"; a copperplate is painted with screenfiller, with variable layer thickness and etched and printed.

Examples how to use Speedball screenfiller.......
