|
Angela Newberry works from her studio in Somerset, England and spends several months a year in Australia. She completed a post graduate degree at the Royal College of Art (London), and won the Vogue Talent contest upon graduation. This led to work with Conde Nast Publications and other publishers, before her interest in film making grew. While her children were small she was a Course Director at the London International Film School and became writer in residence at the Australian Film and Television School in Sydney She decided in 1984, after educating her family, to return to a career as a full time artist. She has since produced a large body of linocuts and screenprints and has had solo exhibitions in prestigious venues all round the world. The images cover wilderness areas and wildlife from the Australian outback, Amazon rain forests, rural England and Kenya, where an Earthwatch Art Fellowship took her in 1993. Her work is available either from the artist contact telephone/fax (44) (0) 1984 656 166, from Unicorn Pictures in London (44) (0) 171 376 3195 and on this website address. |
