Viscosity
The
resistance of a fluid to flow, the opposite of fluidity. Exact
measurements given an evaluation of this property in terms of a
coefficient of viscosity which is defined as the shearing force
divided by the rate of shear in simple fluids. In
thixotropic
materials such as printing
inks
the plastic viscosity is more properly used.
f viscosité,
d Viskosität;
Zähflüssigkeit, Zähigkeit; Dickflüssigkeit.
n
