This technique involves drawing, painting, or placing objects in direct contact with the top surface of the ImagOn-coated plate. A variety of mediums can be used, India or drafting, oil sticks, litho crayons or pencils, or even a Toner-Wash. Some objects, such as lace, cheese cloth or feathers, need to be flat if you want them have a more articulated pattern, so place under the vacuum frame. Other objects, with greater relief, must be done on top of the vacuum frame as the pressure created by the vacuum could break the glass.
