Square and lozenge burins

Burins are traditionally used to cut copper plates (engravings), but they are also very good to use for end grain wood engraving. The square burins are available in 01-12. The lozenge-shaped burins are available in no 22-28. They are made of high carbon steel. They are sharpened, but not honed. (honing = manual grinding operation with small whetstone and oil)
Lozenge-shaped burins make, at the same width, a line deeper than the square burins. Square shape cutting edge makes a V-shape line as deep as it is wide.
