These plates are carefully checked before they are covered with a coating on both sides. The purpose of this coating is to protect the fragile surface during handling. However, we cannot guarantee a 100% scratch free surface. This is "normal" quality zinc. To improve the quality tiny amounts of titanium and copper have been added.
These plates are polished on one side, and then again, on both sides, covered with the plastic foil. The polished side has a transparent blue foil. The transparent film has no adhesive layer and is easy to remove.
The "back" is covered with a white foil, this foil is not transparent, is thicker, and has an adhesive layer. This foil is acid-resistant and can therefore remain in place during etching.
The tolerance of the cutted plates dimensions is +/- 1 mm

Transport:
If these plates are sent as a parcel, they need to be protected between hard board. Are the plates too big, or the parcels too heavy, then the plates should be packed on a pallet (roadfreight) or in a crate (seafreight). | |
