Checking the electrical circuit of the JZE.
First read User Manual JZE-150 !
To do the necessary measurements you need a voltmeter. Put voltmeter on 300 VAC range. Measure on terminals 1 & 2, you should read appr. 230 VAC
Put voltmeter on 50 VAC range. Measure on terminals 5 & 6, you should read appr. 20 VAC. if not: check fuse F3 (control circuit fuse). If fuse is OK, but no 20 VAC on terminals 5 & 6, transformer should be checked by electrician.
Voltmeter range on 50 VAC range. Measure on terminals 6 & 7, you should read 20 VAC. If not: pushbutton OFF is blocked. Measure on terminals 6 & 8, you should read 20 VAC. If not: Emergency stop is in off position. Measure on terminals 6 & 10, you should read 20 VAC. If not: Safety circuit is blocked.
Voltmeter range on 50 VDC range. Measure on terminals 15 & 17, you should read appr. 28 VDC. If not: check on transformer terminals + & -. You should read 28 VDC, if not check rectifier. The safety circuit can be short-circuited, but this can be dangerous for the press operator. Turn Main Switch in OFF position. Connect a wire between 8 & 10. Turn Main switch ON. If the machine is working properly, the safety circuit should be checked, see also manual.
If not, remove wire between terminals 8 & 10. Voltmeter on 50 VAC range. Push button rightwards, relays KO and KR must operate now, if not check limit switch rightwards: Voltmeter on resistance range (ohms), main switch OFF and bed plate appr. in the middle of the press. (between rolls) Measure terminals 11 & 12, you should read appr. 0 Ohm. Measure terminals 13 & 14, you should read appr. 0 Ohm. If not, check limit switches. |
